I wrote to Nathan's corporate to ask why these hot dogs were different from all the others, and in response, in got a very nice e-mail from the proprietor of the Nathan's at Harrah's. They are certainly Nathan's Hot Dogs, but they are more like the supermarket variety available in many grocery stores. They are not the natural casing, bite and snap hot dogs that every other Nathan's Famous serves. They obliged us, but when we went to sit down to eat, we immediately noticed that the hot dogs looked very different than the hot dogs we've had at every other Nathan's Famous.
Service was average but when when my wife saw the hot dogs, she had to ask the server to please return them to the grill for a little longer as they did not look completely cooked.
Of course you have to walk through the casino to get to the restaurant. My wife and I stopped in to the casino just because we had heard that Nathan's Famous was located there.
